I got my tax return back and I thought it gave me enough to get the car fixed. Turns out that there is an additional cost for a new timing belt, water pump, front and rear seals, spark plugs, thermostat, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gaskets.

If they use the old parts then there is no warranty on the engine. New parts gives me a 12 month or 12 thousand mile warranty. The new parts cost is $385, there is no additional labor cost or tax

The total cost for the new engine and radiator installed is $2,750.

There was a burn out solenoid that caused the radiator to die, that in turn caused engine to over heat and the head gasket to blow.

The solenoid cost $70 but they replaced it for free.

I have been restored to mobility.
